The DIO1298 is a load switch for USB VBUS safety management, which could provide up to 165 W current-sink input for 28 V EPR systems. It stands out with a broad operating voltage from 3 V to 32 V. With a continuous current rating of 6 A, it's well equipped for power intensive tasks. This device integrates an array of safety features. Soft start functionality smoothly ramps up power, curbing inrush current. It offers both internal and external adjustable overvoltage protection. The "ideal diode" reverse current protection, with a mere 20 mV forward voltage drop and rapid 15 μs recovery, prevents unwanted current flow. Moreover, it includes short circuit, overcurrent, and overtemperature protection, along with robust transient voltage suppression against ESD and surges. The DIO1298 supports a low RDS(ON) in a tiny package WLCSP (2.53 mm × 2.53 mm), it could provide a highly efficient and space saving solution for such as notebook, PC, monitors or other applications.
